Comfort zone and dynamic. The former is something we enjoy taking our characters out of and the latter we love layering within their interactions with each other. Blake and Niles have been best friends since they were in elementary school; Valerie and Sierra have a mentor protege relationship, which Val reluctantly takes on when it’s clear Sierra needs one; Valerie and Niles reverse a common trope and have the beautiful woman in love with the uptight guy; EMH and the TAIM crew, who all look at him the same way one does a hobo with a dripping bindle and a rusty switch blade.
The point is it’s the nature of who these characters are and how we look forward to putting them in situations you don’t normally see on a dramedy series. And since there are plenty of times you have to suspend disbelief in comedy, why not flesh that out a bit through the science fiction \ romantic elements we have planned for the series?
So take a look at our brief descriptions, accompanied by a graphics that attempt to encapsulate who they are.
